The, “Type O Negative,” G-Shock
I love G-Shocks! They’re accurate and dependable. Rugged and look good. And they don’t cost a fortune. Fairly easy to set with a bit of help from YouTube and the owner’s manual. Had to figure out how to set the DST (daylight savings time) feature to, “auto,” as it was initially an hour behind after I set it up, but only took a couple of minutes of tinkering. As a career railroader, who dislikes constantly synchronizing watches, these atomic (or radio controlled) watches are excellent.
The price was right - maybe around $70 after taxes. Added bonus, I love the contrast of the green on black. Have been a longtime fan of the band, “Type O Negative,” and I think this watch pays homage to them very well. Nice job, Casio!

This G shock most definitely lives up to it's heritage! I looked at many so called tough watches before this one. For the price it can't be beat some that where a lot more expensive but none any tougher. My biggest problem is the back light not all that useful in the dark. It works but hard to see at just a glance. This was my first G shock and have been very pleased with it I've put it through some punishment given my profession. I'm a tradesman I've knocked banged and pulled it every way but loose! That band held together just fine like the 2 prong on the band gives it extra stability. Also have had it completely submerged in not.just water but muddy water and snow. The price is definitely right I reccomend it to anyone it def made for all those working men amd women out there or people enjoy the outdoors. Only drawback is setting it up it can get frustrating the manual helps but it is still tough get date and time just right. It's also very comfortable espiccally given it's size. All in all a wonderful gift for someone else or touself

Another Home run by the G-Shock team at Casio. Very comfortable, very lightweight, easy to set up with the help of a good YouTube video. I chose the color foam white and it looks amazing. Love the look of it on my wrist. The reason why I purchased this watch was to replace my Invicta, which felt like a brick on my wrist because it was 7 ounces, but this is very lightweight, durable, & reliable. It’s gonna keep time very well. I love it on my wrist and this is what I will use as my field watch in the real estate world when I’m out in the field so I don’t have to worry about it getting banged up.
Super durable, nice aesthetics, and different.
I like everything about this watch except that it’s difficult to read the LCD portions of the watch. My reasoning for loving this watch and buying three of them over the last 6 years is that it looks great and is as tough as it advertises. One was crushed in an airport in New Jersey while being x-rayed- how does that happen? Anyway, the second was lost in public after I took it off and simply forgot it on a bench. The last watch is safely strapped to my wrist and hasn’t been subject to the typical perils of my last two. So far I have seen these watches work at 135 ft under water, on muddy a wrist while pulling a 140 ft well head, and I even banged it in every way possible while changing a lift kit on my truck. Eventually I’ll break it in some unusual way or some strange thing will happen, and if I can find it available, I’ll buy watch number four. So, from 5 BAR deep to 36500 ft up, to mud and welding sparks, this watch keeps looking better while garnering the respect of an unknowing, but ever growing number of watch people who listen to me tell of the adventures of my Casio G-Shocks. So far I have owned 12, not including my geeky calculator model or my semi-dress digital with a NATO band. Buy one and make your own story. It’s addicting- these G-Shocks - I love it.
Anniversary gift
I purchased this as an anniversary gift for my boyfriend, then, but my fiancé now. Just like any man he loves new accessories and he loves this watch. He wore it for work. This is a very durable brand. This watch is very reliable and hold up well. He has a very hands-on rough job, and it is scratch resistant and very easy to clean after a long day. This watch also has a built-in light. That is easy to use when you’re getting up at night to use the restroom lol. I would recommend this.
