Not just a gimmick!
I won't lie when I say that initially I got this watch as a joke but it has become so much more then that. I thought it would be funny to use this watch because it is iconic. It is easily one of the most well know watches out there and seen in so much pop culture. Well after wearing it a couple of times, I found it ending up in my watch rotation more often then I could have guessed. It has been a couple of months since I have purchased the watch and I am so glad I did. The functionality is all there and I have never had any problems with it. I've used the calculator function more then I thought I would keeping in mind that I have a calculator on my phone. It is just so convenient sometimes. On top of that I have had people come and complement my on the watch or even just start a conversation because of it.
Overall I have zero regrets on buying the watch and am so glad I did.
Pure nostalgia
I loved watches as a child, but it wasn't until I discovered I could have a freaking CALCULATOR on my freaking WRIST that I got really interested. This right here was the second watch I owned, and now I have it again. Every time I look down, I remember. Not exactly high class, but anyone who sees this puppy on my wrist gets to remember too. It is so lightweight that it's also the most comfortable to wear, so I wear it around the house an awful lot. It's nice if I need to make a quick calculation without needing to go grab my smart phone, unlock it, fuss through all the notifications, and finally pull up the calculator app. But the feature I use the most is the stopwatch. I wish it had a timer, but the stopwatch beeps every 10 minutes, which serves as a kind of ad hoc timer. I can't believe my perpetual trip down memory lane was only $22 away, and it just didn't occur to me until now to buy it.

A Classic
I'm on my second one of these now over about 6 years. I bought the first one mostly because it was dead cheap (<$20) and I wanted a no-worry WR watch with stopwatch for playing ball, running, etc. Of course the novelty helped sell it some too, reminding me of super rad watches from my 80s childhood, and I've gotten many compliments on it in that regard. So when I finally beat the first one to death, which was not easy, I got another one.
Pimp daddy watch
My eleven teen year old boy walk around with this watch like he’s the STUFF! Suits his personality very well. Someone that is simple and funny and does not need affirmation from others. Tries to get away with it in math class. Successful most the time. Very nostalgic and a grow back! I love love love it on him!
